    Disappointing
Booked a 5 star hotel and got a 3 star holiday camp style disappointment!
Sunbathing on the patio facing the beach with our own pool.
More like a holiday camp than a hotel lacking in the style and finesse expected of a 5 star establishment. Customer service was appalling with regular mistakes made in all areas from room cleaning, in room dining, maintenance services and the particularly stressful breakfast buffet restaurant with unhelpful staff, no drinks service, limited facilities and choices and unbelievably bad replenishment standards.

Room service food quality and space of villa and room
Waiting time for buggies (resort itself was huge to walk to one location to another) Only 1 gym (if you're on the opposite end of the resort it is a fair walk)

    A solid 'good'
The villa was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful although it appeared under staffed for such a busy time of year.
We waited for 2hrs for our food on the first day at the restaurant. That was after reminding them 3 times. I feel like this resort is too big..need a buggy to get anywhere and you could wait up to 20min for one.

    Relaxing stay, beautiful beach.
    Spacious villa; beautiful beach.
The variety of food at the restaurants was limited. English language proficiency of the reception and restaurant staff needs to be improved.

staffs are really friendly and try their best to help. Beach is really nice and clean. There was an issue with our villa toilet, and they upgraded it to a better location. we enjoyed our time in PhuQouc.
The hotel shop could be better , to offer some more stuff like swim suits, sun glasses, etc, whatever you might need for a short stay.

    Passable
It looks better on the pictures as in real.
In advance: it's not a 5-star resort. And we are not someone with unrealistic demands, just the ones who travel a lot and have been to couple of Melia hotels already. The hotel grounds look beautiful. Plenty of space and a great beach. However, it's not enough to build a 5-star hotel, it also need to be managed well... Unfortunately, the managers at this hotel are not handling it. Nevertheless, I would like to say a couple of good words about this hotel. We enjoyed the food in the la carte restaurants. The beach was beautiful. Despite the service leaving something to be desired, we tried to savor the time spent here.
The staff appears to be overwhelmed with even the smallest task. The breakfast area is like a college cafe at the rush-hour, a crowded chaos, more like in a 2-star-hotel. People are searching for utensils, trying to find food, and a place to sit. There's a constant shortage of glasses, utensils and space. If you come for breakfast at 9, most probably a lot of popular food is already gone and wont be refilled. The staff seem to hate their job, and I didnt notice a single smile on their faces. Seeing the dried-out cheese killed my appetite. Most of the food doesn't look inviting or appetizing though. Unfortunately. You actually want to eat and leave as soon as possible. Ordering in the restaurants is a challenge; you either get the wrong thing or they can skip it. It's perplexing why they hire people who either can't do the job or don't speak English. Additionally, politeness like "youre welcome is often absent, not even a smile. Of course, there were couple exceptions, and we appreciated those. The waitstaff completely lack an understanding of how to interact with customers. At Christmas night we booked a table online at of the restaurants. As we came there, it was closed. This evening only Christmas buffet was open. How should we have known that? Nobody informed us. Christmas dinner buffet was already fully booked so we were left with nothing. I was so angry!! Why doesnt such a huge hotel have a plan? At least to inform the guests about the Christmas program/options?? We ended up going to some hotel nearby. The carpets in our villa haven't seen a vacuum cleaner in a long time. Cleaning is superficial and quick. You can see a lot of dirt, dust, hairs, etc. The furniture is partially broken. The shower wasn't working, but it has been fixed for us. Almost all the lamps are crooked. Overall, the atmosphere in the villa is decent, but it's clear that the furniture is in an old condition.
