Meryan House Hotel is set in delightful grounds, only 1.6 km (one mile) from the centre of Taunton. The owners have opened up 3 of the original inglenook fireplaces and a complete working well, over 12 metres (40 feet) deep, found in the kitchen. Free parking is available at the rear of the hotel, with 24/7 CCTV. There are 2 very rare and friendly Dandie Dinmont Terrier dogs at the hotel. Taunton Deane Brough Council has awarded Meryan House a 5-star hygiene rating.

    Lovely period B&B
    Lovely, period property located in a lovely and 'hidden' part of Taunton. Only had one night, but was a great place and recommended.

    Historic charm
    It is good to see historic buildings like Meryan being preserved and used. Decorated accordingly our room was clean and comfortable and the renovated bathroom fresh and inviting. Breakfast was excellent with many options. The parking is wonderful and on the whole this stay is good value for money.
    Our reception on arrival was a negative experience however the bright and cheery ladies at breakfast were friendly and helpful and made it a great start to the day.

    Beautiful hotel full of character and a delightful host, extremely efficient knowledgeable and friendly. The best nights sleep I have had in a long time and a super breakfast. This establishment is top of my favorites list.
    There was nothing not likeable, hopefully they will start up the evening meal service in the future.
