    Very well appointed clean and cosy cottage, located close enough to York for trips but far enough out to feel rural. Owner very easy to deal with and great communication - 2nd stay, will be back!!

    Magical pre-christmas trip
    Our 2nd trip to Mistletoe Cottage. We love the space in all the rooms and the style of the property. This time we also ventured to the park and ride and took a bus into york which was really easy.

    Lovely Cottage in York
    Communication from start to finish was brilliant. My family and I met Jayne at the property, where she handed us the keys, and she met us with a smile. She told us the basics of the property, and because it was cold at that time, the house was well heated. As an addition, we got bread, eggs, milk,butter, and chocolate covered teacakes, which I thought was a nice touch (the bread was one of our favourite types ). When we had an issue with the heating, I contacted Jane via message, and quickly, her husband came over to sort it out and show us what to do. I liked the fact that the hosts were nearby if needed. If you are looking for a lovely break away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this beautiful cottage would be the place for you and your family. It was very homey,warming, welcoming, and very relaxing...a home away from home!! My family and I would definitely like to stay here again, especially in the spring or summertime, so we can take advantage of outside.

    The cottage was ideal for our needs.
    It was self catering but we received a very comprehensive welcome pack -much more than we have ever experienced in our previous holiday rentals. The cottage had everything you might want- it was like walking into someones home and taking over. The kitchen had all you might need by way of utensils and equipment. The garden looked wonderful and our only regret was that we were there in October and not during the summer.
    Not much!!! We were 2 families- grandparents and children / grandchildren and the layout was perfect/ the grandparents had the downstairs en suite bedroom while the younger generation had the upstairs with 2 bedrooms and bathroom.

    Beautiful village. Very well equipped cottage and lovely host.
    Not an issue for us but no shop as such in village and 15/20 min drive to get supplies. Little cafe shop did sell breakfast essentials and bakery van one morning at the village hall.
