I truly dont know where to start. I turned up at the address the owners advertise as their location only to find they are much farther down the road, it is my opinion that they do this to make it look like they are closer to Dartmouth than the actually are, hence deliberately misleading clients. I was met by Jimmy who was a friendly chap but in my hurry to get to Sainsburys (closes at 5pm) I didnt have much time to look around. On my return from the supermarket, I was astonished to see the full horror unfold in front of my eyes. This please is, in a word filthy, I was sticking to the floor, I put down the nasty grey towels supplied to walk on, every utensil was dirty and greasy, remnants of previous victims food was in cupboards, the electric appliances should in my opinion condemned, every surface was dirty and the pots and pans where thick with rust, but worst of all the smell of damp was overwhelming, the beds (two singles) were the most horrendous thing I have ever tried to sleep on (2 singles and a double advertised) there wasnt even pillow cases on the pillows or mattress protectors just a thin sheet. After trying to sleep (fully clothed) I eventually decided that my car was the best option, so at 03.30 I moved to my car, at least I could breath there. I decided that my two night stay would last a few hours. The owners offered me another chalet the next day I didnt want to risk it, I still cant get the smell out of my noses and anyway, if I was given the chalet I booked all this could have been avoided. I am not a vindictive man but I urge any potential clients to book elsewhere, this place is simply a health hazard. Its difficult to believe that after the COVID pandemic places like this still exist.
