In our second night, when we asked for extra cushions and a duvet blanket since I am pregnant and need the extra cushions, they told us that there are extra under the couch. When we took it out, we noticed a smell of humidity and dust and I saw a big pile of dust on the corner, however I took them and put them on the bed trusting Im in a clean room and trusting the words of the receptionist. After a while my husband told me to keep the cushions but remove the extra blanket because he feels something is not right. Few days after (which are the days it could take for bed bug bites to show), the body of my husband got filled with bed bugs. We went to the doctor for him to examine the bites and he asked if my husband has slept in a strange bed recently. Obviously, our 2 nights stay in mountain breeze was the only strange bed we slept in and it made sense of the weird smells, dust and humidity we felt opening the couch and using the blanket and pillows. Fortunately, it was only my husband who got stung as I am pregnant which is medically justified on the behavior of bed bugs with different bodies. My husband is suffering from this until now as it takes around two weeks for them to disappear. I gave a call to Mountain breeze, told them about the problem and they said they will investigate, they came back to me thanking me for the note, but felt they will not apologize because they didnt find anything there but will nevertheless give us a 15% discount on our upcoming stay and food. and there might have been something and we cleaned it after you left, but we cannot apologize and this is all the compensation we can give based on my talk with the higher management the Front Desk Manager said. I expected an apology, a promise they will take care of the under couch blanket system which is clear is not cleaned or refreshed regularly and a compensation of the nights or at least one night.
