The de luxe room was lovely, particularly having found it on a winter special rate and saving 500+ over 4 days. Lovely bed, only BBC News tele programme, no bath which was promised but the receptionist who greeted us spent ages showing us the room and offering an alternative - in another building - if we wanted to choose.

Two major disappointments:- Because I walk with difficulty with a stick, I had asked for a room close to a lift and the main facilities. The room was close enough to the lift but the lift was 100/150 metres away from the hotel entrance, bars restaurants etc. a walk which I was obliged to do,6 or 8 times a day.. We did manage to borrow a wheelchair after a day or so, but it was removed from where we had left it over lunch, presumably for someone else, without any comment to me. There have been many comments about the staff in reviews before mine. Sure, there was no end of smiley young boys and girls to open a door or say bonjour but try ordering a drink or a meal in the pool restaurant for lunch in less than an hour. We think a large number of young people had been taken on for the season but half of them hadn't a clue. Apparently absolutely no training had taken place.. One didn't know where the Moroccan restaurant was in the hotel, another took us there but it was closed, as it is every Friday. Others had never heard of the cocktails they were offering on the list. Lunch and the buffet restaurant were all set against an interminable thudding "music" played at such a volume that we often couldn't speak to each other. What sort of mindlessness thinks that beautiful gardens in calm, sunny weather with a nice meal and a glass of wine or two is enhanced by endless, moronic noise? And what makes that 4 or 5 star relaxation? Never again, thank you very much.

The rooms are a bit outdated , especially the bathroom was a bit smelly.

I had an amazing stay at Mvenpick Hotel in Marrakech! The hospitality was exceptional, and Lahcen from the Guest Relations Department was truly outstanding. His attention to detail and dedication to ensuring guests have a memorable experience set the bar high. The hotel's atmosphere, combined with Lahcen's excellent service, made my stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommend it!
