Great character and good food, but not peaceful

Lovely location and great staff all round. The food was excellent and extremely good value for money, both for our evening meal and breakfast. Lovely log fire and very good beer

Very noisy and the facilities are really tired. The bed was uncomfortable and there were a few drunks who kept us awake until gone 1am and then the noise started again at 6.30am. May have just been unlucky and the breakfast made you forget the lack of sleep and we were only there for one night.

Superb

A cheerful and welcoming place to stay with great food

Warm welcome ,all the staff were very pleasant and the hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere . Its a bit shambolic in a nice way with dogs wandering about and lots of different groups of people. Evening meal and breakfast was really good and excellent value,with prompt cheerful service

Dont expect an early night as the rooms are above a busy pub but after closing time its quiet all night.
