Nice stay and staff in Quinta da Marinha, cold in winter

Much improved services since April while they were still migrating in between hotels. I was really pleased with how fast staff attended to us when we needed matches or more wood for the fire or help with anything around the house. The playground was great for the kids and being able to use the facilities of the hotel is appreciated.

While the properties are nicely decorated and functional/modern there are a few key misses: there is no dishwasher, the A/C heating units were really loud and inefficient (the staff did offer for us to swap villas which we declined as we had already unpacked and settled in), and the exposure to the sun is minimal. This makes that the villas are very cold for a winter stay. The downstairs bathroom also smelled really strongly of pipes and/or humidity.

Brilliant!

Absolutely amazing villa.. totally exceeded my expectations! Beautiful complex near a golf course. Lots of amenities on hand if required. 5 min walk to the beautiful seafront. Dog friendly, free parking. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you!

Stay was spoiled by the dampness of the bedroom upstairs

Excellent shower. Good layout and facilities. Staff excellent.

Couldnt find instructions for hob. The fridge was too cold and froze items. The bedroom upstairs was damp. Parking was limited.

Lovely front staff, well equiped kitchens, confortable beds

Cleaning standards did not match the rest. Daily cleaning ( which was paid for) was limited to changing/ making bed which is unsuitable for a stay in a villa.

Really nice villa with great staff. Mainly suited to relaxing and golf due to location.

Really clean with modern decor. Kitchen area was well equipped for anything youd need within reason. Smelled absolutely lovely in there! We appreciated having 2 bathrooms. Reception staff were lovely and super helpful! Nice to have a variety of channels for downtime

For the calibre of the villa/complex there were a couple of things that were slightly disappointing (although quite minor) - toilet roll dispenser was what youd expect to find in somewhere much more budget. One of those where it lets you take a square at a time and then gets stuck. We retrieved it with tweezers a few times until we couldnt get it & had to call reception to come and unlock it (they just dropped off normal toilet roll in the end). - parking spaces are limited close to the villa. Not a problem if fully mobile but was a bit of a pain having an older relative and having to keep collecting the car for them. - Pool was ok but I expected better based on the pictures (pool from the pics I now believe is part of the hotel complex not villa complex) - Seemed like the upholstery in the villa was damp when we went out for the day & arrived back, dehumidifier would fix it easily. - location is a definite drive/taxi from anything going on in Cascais. - second room with bunk beds was downstairs by the front door which didnt sit comfortably with me. In addition the top bunk didnt have a proper rail on so would only suit a much older child in my opinion. Not a problem for us but would have been if our daughter wasnt still in a cot when we travel. - listed as having a bath on our booking but didnt - listed as having a coffee machine, which it did but then they charged 5 per few coffee pods. I thought for this type of property it was a bit poor that there was absolutely nothing in terms of teabags/sugar/coffee etc for arrival. We didnt get there until late and had to wait until morning to be able to get a drink after we had gone to the supermarket.
