Great Hotel

Our son had his wedding reception there in 2000 and so our stay brought back happy memories, including the peacocks! Everything was perfect especially our room No. 1 and the log fire in reception was so welcoming. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and yet efficient. Thank you for a wonderful night's stay and delicious breakfast.

Very poor

Hotel location is good, and our room was small but adequate.

Food was extremely expensive for what you paid for in the restaurant! And drinks where expensive, and the choices where limited. The staff where friendly, but a bit green as they seem to be inexperienced for the venue. The large fire place is totally in the wrong place, right next to the main front entrance, so no where to sit and enjoy the log fire on a cold day.

Pleasant stay for 2 nights but I would rate it 3.5 stars certainly not a 4 star AA Rosette

Small hotel with basic facilities crop.

Very poor shower located over the bath. No indication of the cold or hot directions / controls as no markings! Very stiff to turn the water temperature and the water was hotter than I have ever encountered ! Very dangerous as one could easily get scalded as I nearly was ! Sound proofing is also poor as as one is in bed you can hear the TV on to the rear of our room. No dressing gown and finally the continental breakfast had a very poor selection indeed but the cooked breakfast ok. Dont bother with the Scrambled eggs as they must be made from a packet as they were pale & tasteless and I would suggest they are not certainly not cooked from fresh eggs!
