A most friendly and welcoming hotel, where I hope to stay on all future visits to Newquay

The welcome from the owners and the overall atmosphere were exceptional. I arrived from overseas in the evening and, in spite of their own family concerns on that day, the owners made sure that I was informed in advance, and that arrangements were in place for me to settle in to my room. For breakfast, a superb spread, even with fresh local kippers (to be ordered a day in advance) which, living overseas, I had not eaten for years! My room was very quiet, and there was no intrusive noise at all.

White curtains on the windows of my room, which didn't help my jet lag and meant that I woke very early in the UK summer. But that was particular to my case, and is not a general problem.

small hill climb to beach and town but everyone used car but exercise was the main reason so I did n

ground floor, veranda doorway, pool seating and the pool, comfy bed and easy allowance on personal requirements, breakfast well served and tasty. and helpful willingly if required

Fantastic Stay

Fiona is so lovely! The hotel is gorgeous. It reminds me of a little Spanish villa. Loved the tabletennis. Beautiful swimming pool. Spotless rooms. Gorgeous views! Would definitely go back!

There was no restaurant or bar on the premises (we did know this when we booked so not their fault). However, the walk back from town is a steep walk up the hill - this ended up being a bit of a pain in the butt when we were caught without snacks on day 2, and needed a meal on day 1 after our evening snooze as we were feeling lazy from too much exploring (or too many cocktails lol). ;) There is a lovely breakfast spread in the mornings though.
