    Gorgeous property in a great area, loved the room! Sadly sewage smell from drains spoiled the stay a bit.
    Gorgeous property and Francisca upgraded us to a bigger room which was great. She also gave us recommendations for restaurants which we visited and enjoyed. Very comfy bed and loved the mix between modern and historic design features in the room. Water was hot in the shower and room warm.
    There was a constant smell of sewage coming from the drains in the bathroom. It had been raining a lot so perhaps not so surprising in a historic town but we asked the guy at front desk to do something about it but didnt seem anything was done.

    The place is magical!! If you like to walk, you will have everything walking distance!! The rooms are very comfortable.
    The toilette lid was broken and made lots of noises. The power went out 2 consecutive days. The internet is not reliable.

    Its pretty ok for the price.
    The location is good and quiet, close to Quinta de Regaleira (5min walk) and within a walking distance (15min) to the smaller center where there are plenty of restaurants.
    1. There is no ventilation in the bathroom and there is constantly a smell of sewage in the bathroom/toilet. 2. Its not very clean. 3. The WiFi doesnt always work.

    Very noisy with music close by until midnight. Noise throughout the night coming from different places, from water running to machinery. Not good for the light sleeper.

    A really charming property and you'll be delighted if you stay there
    This is a really lovely property. It's situated in beautiful grounds in an old villa style home. The staff are particularly helpful and it's very close to the old part of town and the attractions you would want to see.
    They have no mosquito screens on the windows and it's obvious by the all the squashed mosquitoes on the white walls that they should have. This means you have to sleep with the windows closed which is hot and hunt down the mosquitoes before you turn the light off

    Gorgeous area. Nature at its best. Away from hustle bustle but walking distance to city Center. Great location Lovely grounds. Room was clean and had all conveniences. Breakfast was wonderful. People were amazing!

    dumped to an ex garage outside the main building
    i booked a suite and slept in an ex garage- consequently cold and humid as hell despite the nice furnishing, snd with cars parked 1 meter from the suite doors. alas the cars were mercedes but what the hell..

    A lovely spot near Sintra with potential but in need of professional investment.
    The place has a wonderful potential, lovely grounds and view..........but it is in need for a professional hand in management. Walking to Sintra town for Dinner is a lovely 10 minute walk.
    The parking is far away, the steps to the rooms are small, the room had a bad smell when we entered, after opening the windows it got better, the shower was hard to manage, the staff was untrained, the breakfast was full of problems the staff did not know how to handle- we gave up on it. The price was for a hotel but but the service is more like a hostel.

    A magical experience and perfect place to end our trip
    What a magical place in which to spend our last few nights in Portugal. You will feel transported to another place in time. The staff, the delicious breakfast, the on-site bar and dinner opportunities (order an hour ahead!) made it a great experience. Loved the medieval pub next door as well. Its an easy 10 minute walk to the center of town.
    GPS is a bit wonky in that part of Sintra and WAZE tried to take us on restricted roads. Look for a sign directing you to the hotel in town and make a sharp right after the sign. Or, just ask someone- everyone knows this place!
