Very Disappointing New Year

Location, Comfortable

My husband and I stayed here over new year and we were really disappointed with the hotel and the service. We upgraded to a river view superior room. The heating was not working and so the room was freezing. An electrician did come but the heating still didn't work properly. My husband has a medical condition and has to sleep wearing a c pap. There was no plug socket next to the bed so for two nights he could not wear it. Food and drink at the bar was very limited with bar staff saying we have run out of so many drinks and had no crisps at all. One bar man Aaron was really to me saying blame the stocktaker for having no stock. In the restaurant we were told to take a table wherever we liked. We sat down and was asked to move as that table was set up for breakfast. The waiter brought our drinks and said this drink is in a dirty glass and then he poured it into another glass. The curtains in the restaurant were hanging down not booked to the curtain rail. Parts of the hotel are shabby and this stay was not worth the money we paid for it. Lots of people were complaining about the lack of supplies and the poor service.

It was ok.

Breakfast was ok. Could have been better. The staff member on the front of the restaurant was a young girl who me and my husband could not understand. She was way too quiet and not helpful.

The staff at check in could have been a little more happy.
