fantastic welcome and nothing is too much trouble, really nice people who looked after us so well. Great pool. direct walk onto the beach which is beautiful hotel is very well made and designed and is kept in perfect condition

Loved every minute of my stay

The best hotel weve stayed in Sri Lanka (out of 6 hotels on our trip). Everything was outstanding. Staff and service were fantastic and friendly. Delicious and well priced food in the restaurant. Will recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. Just beautiful!

Paradise

The Riff exceeded my expectations massively. I have stayed in many hotels worldwide, and this was my favorite by far. The location is stunning, looking at the beautiful beach and ocean below. The quality of food in the hotel was outstanding, and every meal was fantastic. The staff was the fundamental reason my family and I enjoyed the hotel so much. All staff members were friendly and were attentive to our every need. The facilities were excellent; the pool overlooked the beach and was perfect for the warm climate. The rooms were clean, and the cleaning staff was flexible in the hours you wished them to clean your room. We met the owner of the hotel, who was warm and friendly and chatted with us over breakfast. It is truly an outstanding hotel in every aspect, and we will be returning next year!

There was nothing I did not like; my point is more constructive criticism. The hotel holds some events for entertainment. For example, during our stay, there was a cultural night. A notice board in reception with events happening in the hotel would allow guests to know what is happening and plan accordingly.

The hotel is in very good condition, which is probably due to the fact that the staff takes excellent care of both the facilities and the guests. With the beach right in front of the balcony, the hotel also has a great location. The food was always fresh and very tasty. Room service was impeccable. Overall, we felt completely comfortable and in good hands.

Unfortunately, on our second day, we had guests who were playing music very loudly on their boom box by the pool. The choice of music, as well as the fact that the staff seemed to be celebrating the guests, unfortunately detracted from the overall experience.
