Rooms are very dated, but the hotel is being refurbished so hopefully the rooms are next.

Superb

Friendly staff, excellent location, piping hot water, comfortable bed.

Great location for our gig, we arrived a bit early but as our room was ready they let us check in. Breakfast staff were lovely and very prompt.

Much prefer square sausage in my full scottish

Not value for money.

Central location.

Extremely tiny bathroom, sink was in the main bedroom. Room not clean - big cobwebs in corners. Breakfast although tasty was small, I asked for bacon, sausage, potato scone and egg and got 1 of each 1 not sure Ive only ever been served 1 rasher of bacon before.

Excellent value for money. Friendly, accommodating staff and great leisure facilities. Would like to return.

Cosy, excellent location. Friendly, welcoming staff who were happy to engage in casual but genuine chit chat. Wifi was very good, parking great. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc were superb. Same with the gym. We were able to check in early - even though we arrived early and without notice. Also able to use the facilities after check out at 11am which was a great bonus meaning we could use the hotel as a base on our check out day which meant we spent more time (and money) in the local area.

The only down about our stay was our breakfast which we went down for about 9am. The dining area is pleasant and we automatically headed towards a window seat to enjoy the view. The person serving instructed us to sit nearer the serving area which was when we then noticed the tables had been set. Although the venue restaurant wasnt busy it was set up so that diners were close to the kitchen and prep area. The server asked us for our room numbers (plural) and we gave our single room number to which she replied, So youre in the same room? This seemed to surprise her and the tone was questioning. We affirmed that was the case - we are a same sex couple in our 50s. It just seemed an odd reply and tone. Aside from that, the server was efficient. We wondered if she was having a bad day.
