1. The hotel itself looks unkept. It is not cleaned properly, from the corridors, the pool table, the tables and chairs outside the restaurant and bar to the actual rooms themselves. Which leads me to my next point...
2. The lady who was cleaning our room during our stay did NOT change our sheets once. We only noticed this during our last night there.
3. The same lady does NOT knock on the door when she wants to clean. She just kept throwing herself in our room. The one time she did that, she found us half naked because it was so hot there.
4. We booked an executive room for about R8K for three nights and here's what we got for it:
4.1. Sleeper couch and couch that were ready to break at any moment
4.2. Our bed was making squeaky sounds and felt old.
4.3. Bathroom towels that are old and smelly
4.4. Cockroaches all over.
4.5. One night, my wife screamed because we had two geckos in our room - no idea how they got inside because we never opened the sliding door (unless they were always in the room)
4.6. Ants all over the place. Never leave your left overs in any container, you will find ants all over your food the next morning.
4.7. No microwave either so do not have left overs that require warming up the next day.
5. The wifi connection in the rooms is basically non-existent. Their maintenance guy had to make a plan for us to get wifi (shout out to him because he gave us some really good alternative).
6. The restaurant??!!!!??!! Wow! The worst we have EVER experienced. Brace yourselves:
6.1. The food is terrible! Fire the chef! Whether it's a buffet or al-a-carte, breakfast or dinner, the food is insipid and borderline infuriating!
6.2. The people working at the restaurant do NOT know what they are doing! Our first night there they told us we cannot come and eat there because there were groups of overseas tourists who had first preference because they were so many. WE WERE APPALLED!
