Priyantha and his amazing friendly team looked after us beautifully from the moment we arrived. They presented us with cold coconuts and showed us around the villa, so we were made to feel very welcome. They cooked some of the most delicious food that we ate during our time in Sri Lanka, and were very accommodating of the children's requirements. They were always on hand and eager to please, but never intrusive.
Sati Villa is a unique property in a stunning location - situated over a stream that provides the most soothing background noise. The huge windows mean you really feel engaged with the natural environment. We loved the minimalist (yet comfortable) style, and all the rooms were a very generous size. The kids loved the jacuzzi and were endlessly entertained by foraging in the stream and exploring in the garden. I had been concerned about excessive mosquitos, but it really wasn't a problem at all.
As some previous reviews note this house is in a very rural and quiet location, so if you want to have easy access to Kandy then it would not be the house for you. However if you want a truly relaxing experience of being immersed in nature, and to be served delicious local food, then I cannot recommend this house highly enough.
