    About This Property

Majestic with spaces and with a design universe all its own, is the Sawai Man Mahal. This heritage-palace pays tribute to Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II – an Indian prince, diplomat, army-man and polo p (Read More)layer – with expressive architecture, restorative ethics, lush pleasure-gardens, haute-cuisine and immersive experiences. Open, airy, cocooned, Sawai Man Mahal celebrates the best of Rajputana heritage. In four words, it is Jaipur in a Palace. Its façade is reminiscent of Amer Fort, its hall of 24 pillars mirror those at City Palace, while the grand lobby which predates even the Rambagh Palace, with which it shares its premises, showboats heritage, including the 187-year-old Golden Gate - Rambagh Palace’s original gilded entrance. Delicate thikree work, hand painted murals, the medley of tiles & stones, carefully preserved artifacts, vintage photographs and a subdued but colourful livery marks out this palace as special. Much like its muse. Tree-lined avenues and lush verdure usher you to a palace, striking in structure and opulent in its details. The paths are lined with delicate white Jaali lamps that complement the introspective walks you might take, in the company of peacocks and bird-calls, as you survey the lay of this enthralling palace. If green acres are the new luxury, Sawai Man Mahal is liberal and imaginative with it. Check in to capacious rooms and private courtyards laced with greenery, royal suites with private plunge pools, free-style bathtubs, hand painted niches, ornate arches and murals. The décor has been handpicked by the royal family, be it the rooms, recreational spaces, the lavish Sabha Niwas conference room; or the aesthetics at the library-themed cocktail lounge - 1835, housing prized malts, conversations, and 200-year-old books for company. The Maharaja was India’s first ambassador to Spain, and this is celebrated at La Mesa and La Terraza, the Palace’s Spanish-themed multi-cuisine restaurant and al-fresco space. Momentous occasions are best celebrated at Maharani Mahal, the gold-accented ballroom that opens into the vast Maharani Bagh lawn. Chandra Mahal, for smaller gatherings, is silver-themed with an air of elegance. The palace-hotel’s outdoor pool and fitness centre vow to rejuvenate while the Jiva Spa at the Rambagh Palace next door, promises an inimitable spa experience. 20 minutes from Jaipur Airport, this immersive palace promises a sterling experience.

Shocked that this is a TAJ Property !
I had recently booked this property to spend a weekend with my wife for our 13th Wedding Anniversary. it turned out to be the worst weekend ever and I was shocked at the extreme drop in the level of hospitality by Taj Room Experience - To begin with our room no 602 - overlooked rooms 603, 604 etc, we did not have any privacy and could not even open our curtains, we felt extremely claustrophobic and highlighted this to the front desk, who very non chalantly told us that nothing can be done about the same. I checked online and rooms were available, which easily could have been given to us. BUT NOBODY CARED Dining Experience - We chose to spend the evening at Verandah in Rambagh palace which is an adjoining property, we asked for reservation but our staff at Sawai Man Mahal mentioned that this is on first come first serve basis. Upon reaching the Verandah at Rambagh, we met with a person called Arihant, who asked us for Reservation, to which we mentoned that Sawai Man staff said it is on first come first serve basis, He asked our room no and upon realising that we are not staying with Rambagh became hostile and started making faces, he looked down upon us, I challenged him that tables were vacant in the garden area and which remained vacant over the next 3 hours, that we sat there in a corner. Another gentleman server from the verandah ( with a catholic name) understood our plight and tried to accomodate for the poor experience we had. There is no place for Mr.Arihant in a group like Taj and he should immidetely be relieved of his duties. Checkout - On checkout, I narrated the entire ordeal to the front desk but they just kept saying how sorry they were. I asked to see the GM Indrani which too was not obliged too. Please Note - We had booked the Base room at Taj and were treated like least common denominators, this was my worst ever experience with a Taj property. They broke into a song and dance as soon as they were dealing with a foreigner or a wedding guest

The money I paid I was expecting more professional staff and treatment
Very good locations and very good facilities
I sent email to them and I mentioned I mentioned I have 2 rooms and requested for early checking around 11:30. I arrived around 12 and they gave us one room after some 30 minutes and told me that the other room is getting ready. I waited for 1 hour and around 13:55 they told me that the other guest has not checked out and the room might be ready after 14:30. I told them the checking time is 14:00 and the staff start arguing with me that he is the guest and lab lab lab. I told him I am also the guest and check in at 14 is my right based on what is hotel policy. Anyway I left at 14 and went out till night and at nigh I returned and the room was ready. The second day around 19 I was taking shower and I heard the door is opened I shocked and i came out with a towel and someone entered my room and said he is from house keeping. I asked him to exit immediately. Over all the place is very nice but the staff needs to be trained and services need to be improved otherwise soon all guests will run away.

    Beautiful and comfortable
I cant fault anything here. I only took away one star because the restaurant took 40 minutes bringing me some soup and toast, when it was totally empty. I wonder what food delivery timings are like when full of patrons.
    Nothing.

It took too long to get breakfast and they brought the wrong thing after an hour. I had to rush for work and that was very disappointing

I recently stayed at a sawai man mahal , and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. The attention to detail in the room decor was impressive, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The staff members were incredibly courteous and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The amenities, from the fitness center to the on-site dining, were top-notch. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel property to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay. Special thanks to its general manager, seldom you see such high ranking official of the hotel to be greeting customers And a big shout out to your training team. We felt like we are royalty.
I loved everything about the property
