    The historic Schloss Prielau (Prielau Castle) is located on the northern shore of Lake Zell, surrounded by a park and only 200 metres away from the lake. First mentioned in 1425, Prielau Castle wa (Read More)s turned into a luxury hotel in the late 1980s. Behind the castle there are ponds for fish farming and a pen for raising deer. The spire of a beautiful baroque chapel rises above the towers of the castle at a discreet distance. In addition to 2 gourmet restaurants, Hotel Schloss Prielau lets you enjoy a spa area with sauna, steam bath and massages in the castle’s “bath house”. There is a private beach on the lake, complete with wooden pier, beach house and comfortable deck chairs. The ski areas of the Europa Sports Region can be reached in only a few minutes.

    We stayed at Scloss Prielau for 3 nights, and it was extraordinary! The buildings, grounds, ambiance... everything was a dream. The hospitality was lovely and personal. We were so sorry to leave.

    It was a great experience . Beautiful Place, excellent service, very nice surroundings,
    Breakfast was excellent and very good service . Great atmosphere. We recommend both the Austrian restaurant ( on the first floor of the hotel ) and especially the two star Michelin restaurant of the Mayer chef . It was the best meal we have ever eaten ,even compared to Michelin starred restaurants. Front desk service service was very kind and generous, showed us ideas of different walks and travelling ideas . Everyone took great care of the guests.

    There wasnt enough lighting in the chalet .... no internet and most of all the passage to go through is very dark especially if your coming at night by walk

    We had a two-night stay and with great weather, were able to walk round the lake, take the cable car up the Schmittenhoh
    Absolutely beautiful Austrian castle, luxurious room with amazing views but cosy and comfortable too. Fantastic restaurant and friendly helpful staff all over seen by the lovely owner Frau Mayer.

    The striking point for us was that everything was perfect. We didn't feel that this was just luck, rather the result of a hotel philosophy. Room was outstanding in both form and function. The restaurant excelled with both meals and service. Most strongly, we got the impression that we were not just guests, rather returning family. This was the best hotel we have visited and we will surely return. Extraordinary! Thank-you!

    Nice property, nice staff; a bit disappointed with the restaurant.
    Location, staff, quality of products, very good breakfast.
    Visitors should be warned about the prices applied in the gastronomic restaurant, the only option we had upon arrival. Good quality, but a considerable waiting time; it took three hours for a three-course dinner. Below average value for money.

    fabulous property and room, beautiful setting
    unfortunately there were nit 2 restaurants to chose from, either 1 or the other was available. When we arrived, only the a la carte restaurant was available and closed at 8 pm. Food and service were excellent but extremely expensive

    Nice walking distance from Zell am See. Friendly staff, special to stay in a castle!
    The breakfast (22) could have been included in the price. The room could have air conditioning, luckily it got a bit cooler in the night. Maybe there could be also thinner duvets during summer.
