    Very cozy place, very comfortable bed and nice bath room with hot shower! The family was amazing people who made us feel like at home. The dinner was the best curry weve had (so far) in Sri Lanka!

    Lovely little cottage, decorated with a lot of thought. The family living below was so welcoming. Great home cooking by mom at a very reasonable price. I was unlucky with the weather but still managed a lovely hike with the dad. Lal is very knowledgeable on anything in the forest and we had interesting conversations about the world. Romeni and her husband sorted out my bus situation and arranged tuk tuks for a fair price. Very recommended!

    Fabulous and very warm hosts
    The place- it was so cute and pretty. The view from the balcony is also so nice. With clear skies, you can watch stars at night. The host- Super polite and warm. Made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed The food - Tast breakfast and dinner was more than enough for the 3 of us, and very authentic Sri Lankan food I would definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya
    For a place like Nuwara Eliya, it is a bit far(~1.5km) from city centre, to go by foot. If you have a vehicle no issues. The host do offer to make dinner for us, it's better to have it at there place if you don't have a vehicle. Food is very delicious

    Fantastic view overlooking the town, lovely 10 minute walk into the centre. Graces food was wonderful (I had dinner there all 3 nights). Did a brilliant trek with Lal. Romeni was always there to help. Super recommend!!!

    Cosy homestay with a wonderfully welcoming family
    The hosts are the nicest people you could possibly hope to meet theyre so warm and welcoming, giving us tea and biscuits on arrival, and couldnt have done more to make our stay lovely. We had dinner at the homestay and it was the best meal we had in our whole time in Sri Lanka. Breakfast came with home-roasted coffee and home-made marmalade, both of which were delicious. The view from the lodge was beautiful, and the lodge itself was super cosy (like a ski chalet!) especially with the addition of a hot water bottle each night. We also loved the family dogs, especially Jonny!
    This wasnt a problem for us at all, but the property is at the top of a very big hill (hence the great views!) we walked down into Nuwara Eliya but treated ourselves to a tuk-tuk back!

    This stay was one of the best I had not just in Sri Lanka but during all my travels. This place is a home away from home. I was welcomed with open arms (quite literally) and well taken care of from the moment I booked (thanks to Romenis fantastic communication) until even after I left. The chalet is beautiful, the bed with all its blankets is so cozy and the view from the window scenic. I went on the famous hike with Lal, who took us through the woods, fields and mountains and told us so much about the vegetation and history of Nuwara Eliya. Grace made the worlds best food. Seriously. Anything after this will just taste sad. Every meal was different yet so delicious! If you want a truly unique experience I advice you to stay here, you will not regret it !

    A homestay to remember: authentic hosts creating friends for life
    If you are searching for an authentic, sincere experience, dont look further: Romeni and her mother Grace are taking care of the cooking: breakfasts and dinners are really excellent. Prepared with so much love and care. Romeni learns you the secrets of her great meals. Her father Lal presents his (best coffee in Sri Lanka) own made coffee, starting with the Arabica tree and his delicious own made orange marmalade, starting from the tree in their garden The accommodation is very well located: a fantastic view on the city, while only away 10 minutes walk via a short cut Romeni, Grace , the aunt and Lal are a warm family and welcome their guests with so much love when we would come back to Sri Lanka, this family would be the first to visit again anyhow, we shall stay in contact via on- line cooking lessons and WhatsApp.

    Great stay with little hobbit style feels
    An excellent spot. Within a 12min walk to town down a shortcut. Safe and comfortable. My accomodation was plenty spacious and could have fitted 3 people. There is a staircase leasing to the bedroom which is very steep in sections and might be challenging for anyone with mobility issue. The hosts family were lovely. The only reason I didn't give this 10 rating is that my lodge was connected to the host families house by a stairwell which can be locked from both sides. It is very safe and the hosts were respectful of noise etc during my two day stay but there isn't 100% privacy due to this connected stairwell.
