Welcoming, comfortable hotel in great position for the beach, but not if you want Spanish charm.

Clean and well-appointed room with wonderful sea view from the balcony. Very good breakfast selection - including made to order omelettes, fresh pineapple, good orange juice. Lovely to be able to sit outside on the terrace to eat breakfast in October. Small but well-looked after pool area. Excellent position metres from the sandy beach, with direct access from the pool area onto the promenade. Very helpful staff, great at giving suggestions for day trips, details of local buses, etc.. Bus stop a few minutes walk away.

The evening buffet was disappointing, although many people seemed to enjoy it, We found it bland and too British! The hotel is geared towards more mature guests and we found that we prefer a mix of ages, so this didn't suit us. We didn't realise just how much the area catered for British guests, so if you want Spanish charm this is probably not the right place to come.

Everything. Lovely bright spacious rooms, wonderfully comfortable beds, great housekeeping team, the rooms were spotlessly clean. Fantastic evening entertainment, we never needed to go out in the evenings, there was always a music tribute on & we had a great time. We really had a very enjoyable stay at the Son Matias Beach hotel . See you again next year!
