Don't trust in the reservation system of Sonesta, you take the risk to be without room

I arrived at Sonesta Hotel on December 14, at 6pm (quite exhausted and hungry as my flight was 2 hours delayed ) and they informed me that they don't have my reservation and they don't have a room available. I couldn't believe it, as I made the reservation months ago and they even wrote an email on the same day at 9am that they are awaiting me at their hotel and I would have to pay the room rate of 460'000 if I don't show up. The lady at the reception was helpful to organize some food for me and made a reservation in a hotel for me. But this hotel wasn't equivalent to Sonesta, didn't have swimingpool, gym, coffeemachine, and was far away from Unicentro. Also the valorations were not as good as Sonesta. These were the reasons why I booked Sonesta. The other hotel was cheaper but I prefer to pay more to have the amenities that are important for me. Also it was very noisy in the night and I couldn't sleep anymore from 4 am! I would have expected that Sonesta pay me any compensation that I didn't have the amenities which were important for me, or book me in a better/more expensive hotel and pay the room rate diference. Don't trust in the reservation system of Sonesta, you take the risk to be without room.
