Nilukshan is a great host, price quality is 10/10!

Nilukshan and his family are great hosts! The price quality of the accommodation is a 10/10, we loved our short stay! Nilukshan is happy to provide recommendations about the area, restaurants and is very responsive. We were lucky enough to drive with him to our next destination, where he could show us and tell us more about the surroundings of Anuradhapura!

We had an amazing stay. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy, location is calm and safe. Hosts are great and very helpful. We rented bikes, cooked local food and went in a tour. Would highly recommend to stay here.

It was well situated and spacious and the hosts were absolutely amazing! They helped us book all our tours including Wilpattu where we saw elephants and a leopard!! Then he drove us 2 hours to our next hotel, Nilu is amazing and you should definitely come to this hotel

Delicious food, amazing AC & great stay overall.

The family were so lovely; polite, friendly and helpful. Their cooking was outstanding - probably the best food weve had in Sri Lanka. We were able to rent bicycles from here which was great as we used them to take a tour of the ancient city. The room had amazing AC which was greatly needed as Anurahadpura is HOT. The bed was very comfortable It was nice having a shared balcony and dining / living space - there are only 2 other rooms that you share this space with and for the time we were there we only met 1 other couple for about 30mins before we went out so it felt like we had it all to ourselves! The family really kindly let us keep our bags at the Homestay all day when we checked out that day which meant we could explore on the bicycles without having the burden of carrying heavy backpacks all day. Its in a great location to cycle to the ancient city. C cafe round the corner from the Homestay has highland milk chocolate in the glass bottle - if you dont know what this is yet you MUST go and try it! Its hard to find in Sri Lanka but its a classic!!! Tastes great on a hot day (I.E. every day). Also they do good street food too. But if youre after a big home cooked meal DEFINITELY get the food at the Homestay. Its the best!!!

The bathroom was good but unfortunately its a shared bathroom with the 2 other rooms which is perfectly fine except we didnt feel we could keep our toothbrushes in there and there wasnt any soap for washing our hands. Although Im sure we could have asked for some, we just kept forgetting to and used our own instead (which meant bringing it to and from our room).
