Exceptional

Staff exceptional. Location perfect.

All of the Staff were exceptional, its lovely to stay somewhere that is so friendly. They really couldnt do enough for us and could answer any questions we asked. The breakfast was absolutely lovely too, couldnt have asked for more. Location is perfect for visiting Shrewsbury.

Superb

Great location to explore a lovely town

Excellent location, great value. Nice breakfast and nice pub generally. Comfy bed. Parked in nearby shopping centre Multi storey which was really convenient.

There was a bit of a whiff from the bathroom, sort of drain smell. But the river was super high and riverside paths flooded, so given its proximity we put it down to that.

Very good

Great staff who were always willing and helpful.

Rooms were comfortable if small. Bathroom clean and bright. Not very much storage room. The menu small but well cooked.

Eating breakfast in the main pub area. Because people were coming and going room cold and food did not stay hot.

Very good

Overall accommodation and location was fabulous would definitely stay again.

Location of the hotel was fab, and the bar staff were great very helpful and pleasant .

The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment,we ordered and had to wait a while for it, when it did arrive it was cold which was a shame.

Lovely

Room much nicer than the photos. Modern spacious. Breakfast was amazing! Staff professional, polite and really helpful, when they saw my mum they switched both of our rooms without me asking so we could be downstairs. Just lovely people.

Parking was easy, but 2 min walk. Not right outside. Having said that the walk was easy and pleasant over the bridge, which was beautiful.

If you like sleep I dont recommend

Great location and friendly staff

The bed was really small and very uncomfortable and the duvet was two small for two people. The pillows were hard. We were located right on the ground floor at the front which was extremely noisy. I know this cant be helped by the hotel but if I had known I would not of booked. The lights from outside kept me awake. Maybe wider curtains to stop the lights shining through. Also the room smelt of drains. The noises from the other rooms such as the toilet flushing and even running the taps was so noisy. Other guests clearly did not listen to the entry door code requirements as the same people kept putting the code in incorrectly and then proceeding to kicking and banging the door, on more than one occasion late at night. If I had not had alcohol and was able to drive I would have left at 1am to do the four hour journey home as I was that tired and wanting some sleep. The breakfast we only had on the first day and we were kept waiting for a long time and when we received it, it was cold. The lady serving however was very nice and friendly. We didnt bother on the second day as I just wanted to get up and get home and get some sleep! Only good part about this hotel is its good location for the amenities in town!
