Perfect getaway

Everything, the room was spotlessly clean, had a Seaview, which was amazing, just far enough away from the centre to be peaceful, such a homely place to stay.

Genuine, beautiful, kind and welcoming.

The seaview was amazing, the bed was sooooo comfortable and the room had everything I needed. It was a beautiful and well stocked. Lovely design and I really enjoyed waking up in the morning to see the tide in. Great location.

Really welcoming owners and very clean.

This was a fantastic place to stay and one I shall be booking with again in the near future the owners where very welcoming it was very very clean. And the breakfast was absolutely amazing all local fresh produce too

Good but could've been great.

The location was good, very easy to walk to and from the train station. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the mornings. The tea tray was well stocked and breakfast was fresh and well cooked, the breakfast room is a lovely room and it was nice to see the effort being made to move away from the single use plastic pots for jam and condiments. The bedrooms have small fridges and we were offered fresh milk for the tea tray. The owners were charming and knowledgeable about the area. Sea views were stunning even on a wet day at the end of October.

Totally appreciate that the owners have not had the property long and that no doubt in time the place will be completely overhauled but little things would've made a big difference. The room was very dusty and the carpet around the edge of the room was frayed. There was only one tie-back for the curtains, the other had come off of the wall leaving bare plaster showing. The building has beautiful old sash windows but they are not the best for draught-proofing, it would've been nice to have had a really good thick pair of curtains up to not only stop the room being chilly but help to muffle some of the road noise - which I understand they have no control over. The owners are trying hard and I think in time the Angove will be restored to its former beauty.
