Very good

Good, but beware of rowdy daytime visitors

Elegantly designed premises with a nice, partially covered swimming pool. The hotel is right next to the beach (though not swimmable as theres a large reef). Good facilities that are well-maintained and clean. Friendly, courteous staff.

An otherwise wonderful stay was off to a horrible start due to an obnoxious group of daytime visitors who were making a complete racket next to the pool: they were drunk and had karaoke on full blast. The hotel staff was not able to control them, and once we asked them to keep it down in the public area, we were subject to racist verbal abuse for more than an hour (in colourful native Sinhala). Not wanting to escalate it further (and probably get even worse treatment from the large group of drunk men), we endured it until they eventually left. Apparently there are regular daytime visitors to this location, and clearly the hotel management is unable to ensure that they do not ruin the peace and quiet the guests would expect from such a location. You are basically at the mercy of the visitors to keep things pleasant. We recommend checking with the hotel staff about the schedule before booking.

Disappointing

If you like to stay alone and is ok with limited food choices then you can stay here.

Neat and clean. Good view, next to sea.

Lift and intercom not working. Very limited food menu. I was searching for property in Negombo and this hotel showed up. It is actually about 30 minutes drive from Negombo. I was the only guest there for one day and felt very weird roaming in the hotel. I wanted a cheerful stay, but all these factors accounted for a dull stay.
