Exceptional

They've recently added a small swimming pool making this an even more amazing stay than we expected. The place is designed beautifully, everything works perfectly, and it's in a great location, a short walk to the best vegan restaurant on the island.

The beach looks beautiful but it's difficult to swim since it stays very shallow for 50m from the shore. A hammock would be a nice addition too!

Spacious and great location for a family of 4

Stunning villa and surroundings for our family holiday (kids age 8 and 6). Spacious property, clean, fast wifi and great shower, lots of lovely fixtures and fittings etc. black out curtains and blinds were excellent. The two long washing lines at the back of the property were very helpful. Staff were easy to contact before and during our stay. They helped arrange a horse and cart to take our bags to the harbour on our last day, and also recommended a driver who was waiting for us at Bangsal ready to take us to the airport. The Beach Shack is in a great location with easy access to different parts of the island. Staff at Ugem Bar (immediately neighbours) were friendly and helpful and allowed us to set up a tab to pay at the end of our stay and also allowed us to borrow their chess board. They played good music which you could hear when sat outside at The Beach Shack which we enjoyed seeing as we forgot our own speaker. Would highly recommend this property. Favourite places: Mowies Barefoot Blondie Cafe Susu Cafe Maxal Italy Pizza Paschamama Pituq Flowers and Fire Yoga Good Earth Cafe at H2O Yoga Hakuna Matata Allora Ugem Bar

Best beach house on Gili Air

The beach house was great: fantastic location, great facilities (including water dispenser for hot and cold water), comfortable beds and Ansel was a great host. Restaurants within walking distance, best snorkelling spot in front of the house. Everything top!

Perfect beach shack. Rustic but also a little bit luxury. Felt well looked after by the staff

Loved the locations and the beach view. Loved the restaurant next door who delivered us lunch and beers. Everyone was so friendly. Loved the playground and toys for the kids. Really nice furnishings and cool concrete bathrooms. They sorted an extra bed and a cot for us

Beachfront, clean, cafe just beside, plenty of space, toys and playground for the kids to play. Rate it 10 out of 10 for families with young children. Beautiful area for snorkeling although need to swim about 50m from shore.
