Comfortable well positioned hotel with great views over the harbour
Our room had a great harbour view and was close to all amenities. We had a lovely freshly cooked breakfast, server by a friendly but not too intrusive owner. The room was warm and very comfortable. There was plenty of wardrobe/draw space and lots of coat hangers. The room rate was very reasonable.

    Very good
Good location and we were able to visit a number of places along the Dorset coast from there
The room we were allocated was very nice and had view across the harbour. Had a small balcony but due to time of year and the weather it was a shame we were unable to use it to its full advantage. Breakfast choices were very good.
    Can't think of anything!!

Good overnight stay in great location and modern facilities
Great location. Large bright room. Modern bar and dining area.
Bathroom a bit small and could do with updating. But its a beautiful old traditional building so its understandable.

    Location, room and breakfast
Owner could have been more attentive, could of offered to help my wife with her bags up three flights of stairs. He gave the air of 'couldn't be botherd', we felt like an inconvenience. Shame really as it's a nice place.

They were very welcoming and treated me as part of the family, even though I traveled alone, I felt at home when I stayed with them. Very nice people I enjoyed my stay there.

Lovely hosts, breakfast, views and location
We loved the view from the room window over the Old Harbour and out to sea, great to see the RNLI Lifeboat turn around and go off - very interesting when you don't see boats often!! Lovely hosts and great breakfast. Room was nice and clean and comfortable, and the location was great for access to theatre, town, seafront and local places to eat in the evening.
The room was too warm for us, even after turning off radiators in room and bathroom, still slept with window ajar in late November! Due to the age of the property the stairs access to the rooms is a little steep and tight for carrying a suitcase in each hand. Parking wasn't easy which surprised us for late November, so you may end up having to park further from the hotel than you would like in high season, but there is plenty of large carparks nearby.
