Creepy, uncomfortable, and dishonest staff.

My employee had the following experience at this abysmal hotel: The hotel manager attempting to enter my employee's room several times at night until 02:00AM, leaving him with a lack of rest. The hotel manager's excuse at the time was that there was an issue with their system and it was not displaying whether there was a guest in the room or not. This was communicated through the door to my employee as he didn't feel safe opening the door. The following morning, the hotel staff attempted to convince my employee that it was in fact a drunken man going around the hotel. Finally, after complaining to Booking.com, they claimed that my employee was in fact making the noise and that there were two of them in the room, which is nonsense - not to mention the fact that the room was booked for just one person. The latter accusation was bizarrely accompanied by a 'free upgrade'! Don't waste your time with these people.

Disappointing but luckily only one night.

We had warned the hotel in advance of disability and we not told there was no working lift. Our room was up two flights of stairs. We had numerous adverse comments regarding my assistance dog which was uncomfortable and illegal. Very little awareness. Breakfast was adequate - had to ask for hot breakfast. Only one option - full English - so as vegetarians had to ask to have the meat removed.

Almost everything but particularly staff attitudes.

Very good

The hotel is conveniently located for the city centre. It is clean and the rooms are of a reasonable size.

The reception was often unmanned meaning you can't always get hold of someone when you need to.

When asked for a toothbrush, the house keeling gave me a used brush because they didn't have stock. I would rather have them tell me they don't have one than give me a used brush

Hotel from hell

I like the location

The breakfast was horrible and nobody to attend to you unless you leave the eating area to the reception who double-up as a receptionist and chef (ridiculous!). The hotel manager is never on site either either during mid-day or evening. The hotel management are not flexible on matters relating to change of date - I will not advise my enemy to lodge in the hotel. There is no toothpaste in the toilet and toilet roll was half used when I lodged in though they charged extra 10 for arriving at 2pm stating that early lodging attracts additional cost. The breakfast meal was nothing to write home about because the bacon was so dry that my tooth was aching for 24 hours about the tasteless meal
