I would definitely recommend this hotel for it's excellent service and hospitality

All aspects of the hotel were excellent, staff were very accommodating and helpful, food was delicious with my g-f/lactose free intolerances catered for easily with good choices on all menus, a gluten free loaf was provided at the end of my stay which was a real bonus! Our room was very clean and comfortable and extra pillows were provided upon request. The close proximity to the town centre meant that Christmas shopping was easy as our bags could be taken back to our room. Woodbridge has lots of individual shops, well worth a visit.

Disappointing

Over-priced. Cleverly marketed at a higher price point than the reality on the ground.

Staff superb - from the manager and bar staff who welcomed us, to the night porter (such a nice guy), to the cleaners, to the team serving breakfast - they were all brilliant and have nothing to do with this poor review. Food good.

Price point far too high for the accommodation standards. At 335 for two nights, you expect a certain standard of room. Sadly the rooms are tired and the rooms are photographed cleverly meaning you feel underwhelmed on arrival. A fairer price point would be 80-100 per night max, not 167. Other specifics to help the Hotel Folk (group management company): Bedroom was boiling hot with a radiator set to max that you couldnt turn off (valve adjustor just fell off). It was also on a busy road meaning you couldnt keep the window open to cool yourself, so ended sleeping in a sauna (in November!) and having a poor nights sleep. This was rectified by night 2 upon complaining. Bedroom furnishing/carpets/wallpaper/sofas look and feel tired. Noise in general - busy bar below, road very loud, staff cleaning early morning when trying to have a relaxing lie-in on holiday. Toiletries were very meagre for price point. You go expecting a boutique hotel feeling, and you leave thinking you wish youd just gone for a cheaper Premier Inn / Holiday Inn. To reiterate; the staff were superb - every single one, just the Hotel Group management are too greedy with their rates.

A reasonable location but overpriced for what it is.

Good location, reasonably spaced room and good amenities.

The room was too bright and noisy. The light shining on the hotel sign was right outside our window and shone into the room all night. The room was noisy and you could hear the staff cleaning and setting up late in the night through to the early morning.

No information in room. Cobwebs. In need of thorough clean and paint touch up in room. Mattress and bedding poor and uncomfortable. No door do not disturb sign even after request. Ravioli not cooked enough. No atmosphere. Real shame. Well overpriced.

Superb

Clean, airy and stylishly decorated. Comfortable beds and well thought out room.

The lightning in the bedroom is went very bright which made getting ready a bit tricky. The breakfast was nice enough but the modern twist on a classic wasnt to our taste.
