Really enjoyed our stay in The George, especially breakfast!

Right in the middle of pretty Axminster, which is very quiet in the evenings, but gives easy access to Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast. They only had a twin room left (my fault for booking so late) but it was big, clean and comfy with an excellent shower. Bar downstairs had good local beers and a nice atmosphere. And the cooked breakfast was amazing!

The smoke alarm had a really bright flashing green light!

Nice clean room

We came back after dinner elsewhere, and couldn't order a drink at the bar anymore, despite the bar being full of customers. Bar stopped serving at 21.45, apparently.

Good food and the staff were fabulous.

Nice large room but no chairs to sit on. The windows rattled in the wind waking us up. Tried to stuff paper in the cracks to stop it. Disturbed night's sleep. Realise it's an old building but a few mall wedges could cure this problem.
