Each of the 15 colourful, modern rooms in The Grainary include en suite bathrooms, as well as a Freeview TV and a welcome tray with tea, coffee, and biscuits. Harwood Dale Forest which surrounds The Grainary, provides plenty of trails for watching wildlife including birds (night jars) roe deer, badgers, foxes and dragonflies including our woodland board walk to the wet land area which includes the rare Royal Fern. Free parking is available at The Grainary, and the seaside town of Scarborough is 15 minutes’ drive away. Historic Whitby can be reached in 20 minutes by car. Harwood Dale Forest which is 4 miles from The Grainary is popular for watching wildlife including birds, roe deer, badgers, foxes and dragonflies.

Great night away would definitely re book and return

Communication prior to booking was great, rooms were cosy and pets being allowed also swayed our booking. Staff were polite and friendly and could not do enough for us. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and cooked to your liking.

Absolutely wonderful stay, we will be back.

Beautiful location with amazing views. The room was lovely; clean and modern with everything you needed. Water, tea, biscuits, toiletries etc. the staff were very friendly and the service was great. Breakfast was continental choices plus a hot menu to choose from. All delicious.

There was nothing I didnt like. It was a bit on the pricy side, as was the food and drink on site. But you get what you pay for.

Definitely would go back, after we found an alternative route and not used our SAT NAV.

Loved the place, Sat Nav did send us around the houses from the A64, Lovely views Super Staff Restaurant staff and food fantastic

Regret the heating and hot water was not good on arrival, although I like a cool room we were unable to have a shower. I spoke to a lovely Scottish lady , who kept us informed on what they are doing, On the morning the room was hot along with hot water
