Brilliant

The food was amazing, never eaten so much in my life! All staff were helpful and friendly. House keeping staff lovely. Stayed due to assessment for my autistic daughter, all the staff were understanding and accommodating to her needs.

Wonderful stay!

Building is beautiful - oozing with history and charm. Staff were engaging, polite and professional. Bar and restaurant were very nice. Drinks, robes, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and toiletries in the room were thoughtful additions. We loved the stylish facilities. Location was good for us.

Bed was a bit creaky but part of the charm. Heating on full omg! Otherwise all good. Would definitely recommend.

Poached eggs were good.

Couldn't get a nightcap Baileys at 10 past 10pm ? Girl on duty too interested in getting a lift home with her partner and wouldn't take cash or card / open the electronic till.

Didn't see much of the outside because of the monsoon, but the inside was perfectly acceptable.

Comfortable and interestingly decorated room room that included everything I needed. Cosy bar before eating from a short but imaginitive menu.

During the heaviest rainfall I can remember, I trod in a three inch deep lake outside the entrance door, then discovered that the windows in my room hadn't been completely closed, and the sills needed mopping up with the bathmat.

The room was nice, with a lovely walk-in shower. We slept very well! Breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented.

Coming back at night was a bit of a challenge as the phone number for the night porter didn't work. Fortunately there were still people in the bar, who heard us ringing the bell insistently.

Upgraded to a Junior Suite, the Dovecote, which was very spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Excellent value for money.

Much closer to road than pictures indicate but no noise at night.
