Each of the 13 boutiqu (Read More)e style rooms has an en-suite bathroom with either a walk-in shower or shower over bath. They also have Nespresso coffee machine and tea/coffee making facilities. In the morning, a full English breakfast is served. The pub has a large garden area and heated terrace. The kitchen is open for lunch and dinner serving food-wired pizzas, premium steaks and British classics.

    Freezing!!!
    Hotel was clean, with comfy bed and great bathroom with very hot water and a bath. The staff were friendly and there were good facilities for a meal and drinks. Good breakfast.
    The room was absolutely freezing. The rooms surround a courtyard with external doors. When I arrived it was cold (it was the late November 'cold snap'). The woman who showed me the room fiddled with the radiator and said it would come on. It didn't. I had a hot bath and went to bed. Overnight it got colder and colder. The pub was dark, there was nobody to ask.... In the morning the heating did not come on. I was honestly so chilled and frozen all the way through that I was shivery and felt ill. I was working locally and did not warm up until I reached home after work that night and got into a hot back. I requested a partial refund. Twice. Had no reply. I know I sound dramatic but I came down with flu two days later and I was off work for almost a month (I'm not a 'sick' person). I think it was because I got so very, very cold. I would not recommend staying here.

    Beautiful old coaching inn. Gorgeous rooms.

    Cold, not particularly clean.
    Think dust on the carpets around the edges and around radiator pipework. Room was absolutely freezing, radiators never heated up above luke warm. Breakfast wasnt great, only excepted cash for breakfast on the Sunday.

    The interior design was incredible. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely. The value for money is great and I will definitely be staying here again.

    The staff and the food were good, but the room we had was dark and cold. housekeeping not great.
    The breakfasts were good. And the staff were pleasant. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was very good as was the service.
    Our room was on the main road. The windows were single glazed and there was noise from traffic and also the room itself was cold. We were provided with a heater which helped. The decor is very dark and the rooms werent that big. The first full day we stayed there we went out and returned at 4 pm to find that our room had not been serviced. It was serviced quickly after our request for it to be done but I felt it couldve been done in the six hours we had been out . The hotel only has 13 rooms so I would expect it to have been done earlier.

    Nice location, bar and restaurant area. Shame about the room.
    Nice bar area and nice staff
    Room was quite small, old and needs attention. Water fluctuates between hot and cold. The plug in the shower floats away and the power went in the bathroom at 2300hrs so no lights.
