Very good

Friendly, warm and good pub grub!

This was our second stay and the breakfast was just as great, especially the mushrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The central heating wasn't working so we had an electrical convector heater instead which was very efficient.

The beds were OK and I slept solidly. However, during the night another member of our party heard some noise from the side doors to the pub and from the street.

Disappointing

Never again

Dorchester is a lovely town as I lived there for over 20 years and we went to visit my family member in hospital

Well the room could do with a indepth clean .woke up to stone cold rooms as heating had been turned off in main hotel.so couldn't have a shower.was told breakfast was between 8 and 9am .ourselves and another couple staying were still waiting to get into main hotel at 8.35am in the end I phoned up and woke the person up to open the hotel for breakfast at 8.40 am very poor

Good

Great if you just want a room for a night or two.

Convenient location with free parking. Close to the town centre's pedestrianised shopping street. It's mainly a pub, so pub food and sports TV. Helpful staff provided secure place for my bicycle.

Price was higher than other places we stayed with higher spec rooms.

Exceptional

Rooms are located on the ground floor and therefore very convenient for anyone who may have difficulty with stairs. Choice of Breakfast was varied and substantial as well as value for money. Location of the hotel is excellent however car parking places are limited.

Will stay again if passing through

Location was brilliant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Evening menu looked great although we didn't eat there as were booked elsewhere.

Facilities were very tired and really needs some maintenance.

Superb

Excellent accommodation and food at a reasonable price.

Room was accessible directly from car park and it was clean with good en-suite facilities and a comfortable bed. Breakfast and evening meal was excellent. Location perfect for town and evening function.

Staff were very helpful and friendly

This is an issue for the owners -Marston not the hotel managment. It would have been more comfortable to have had a simple armchair on the bedroom as well as the ordinary chairs. The floor coverings in the pub and especially in the restaurant part need renewing.

Disappointing

The welcome we recieved was good the gent made sure we had a parking space. And it appeared we were going to have a decent enough stay we were asked to pay up front. Something I did not like but that seemed to be the policy

The room was basic but clean in obvious need of a revamp but I realise for the price paid it was OK. Breakfast was OK and the staff were attentive
