staff were pleasant, room was nice, food was good and well presented, location is good, on site gym and pool were good

construction works at front of building and they making us walk to back of building to enter reception staff weren't as helpful as they should be, I had to keep asking more questions to get information lounge staff were very good

Nice hotel

Nice view on premium club lounge floor and nice to have breakfast in lounge. Staff ate all very attentive to guests. The rooms are very nice as is the hotel in general and my room had a nice view.

They put holds on your card for payment which I dont like and I effectively have paid twice and must wait for hold amount to clear which may be up to 30days. Other hotels they generally use the hold amount and complete the pending transaction for the final bill amount (which is my case was less than hold amount). Apparently this is process is normal for a them. I generally pay upfront or hotel has already billed and completes the pending transaction as I mentioned above (was only case of this for my various stays in Thailand). Make sure aware of this as they dont explain and I think relates to only the largest hotels. Also the hallway on my level reeked of weed smell. They had an air purifier to try clean I think. As the staff are super accomodating to guests I suspect they allowed this at expense of other customers. This is a problem with Thailand, have a lot of tourists that come and lack etiquette which they know can get away with in as Thai are exceptionally accomodating to tourists. This comes to the last point regarding hotel patrons, the hotel is also next to Nana plaza so is fair few odd older blokes around in this hotel and outside, and is not my scene. So if not into this I suggest staying further down sukhimvit nearer to terminal 21 or Ekkamai or even elsewhere. As such I wouldnt recommend if with family. Overall was a bit disappointed in general, was one other matter regarding room items but Ill leave this matter and not return to this property on next stays in Bangkok.
