The pods feel more like private rooms - super quiet and easy to get good sleep. Great communal area with the best equipped kitchen Ive experienced in a hostel. Take advantage of the free beer hour, its a great way to meet people!
The iPods sometimes dont connect to the bed/lights, so you need to try multiple times. Normal buttons would be nice! The tumble dryers also dont last long enough - its expensive to get your clothes dry.

    Unfortunately dissapointing.
The location is amazing as it's in the middle of the city centre. It's very convenient to go to any shops and is very easily accesible by most modes of transportation. The bed was very spacious for a hostel and the complimentary coffee was a big bonus for me.
The staff seemed very under trained or even not trained at all. They were all chatting to each other whilst I was being checked-in. I ordered an amenity through the iPod in the room so that I can pick it up from the front desk. It told me to wait at least 10 minutes before picking it up so I went there 15 minutes later. They clearly weren't checking the requests they were receiving but what's worse is that I communicated to them in Japanese (native level) and they couldn't understand me (neither of them were Japanese) so I communicated with them in English (also native level) and they still didn't understand. Exactly what language am I supposed to communicate in with a hotel staff in Japan? Also, I was asked multiple times, on separate occasions and different days, whether I'm staying at the hostel when I was in the lounge (bear in mind I've already spent 4 nights at the hotel at this point) which I thought was quite rude since they weren't asking anyone else and it felt like they thought that I looked like the type of person that doesn't belong there. I understand that there are a lot of customers and they all go in and out every day but the staff should be aware of what their customers look like, especially if they're staying for 5 nights.

Excellent open shared space with free beer in the evening which is great to meet new people
In a very convenient location it is easy to explore around with good bus route. A great place to meet other people, especially at the beer happy hour in the afternoon. the room is confortable and leather quiet. the bathroom very clean. Staff speak English
I was disappointed with the breakfast, over priced and limited choices (one yogurt, soup and small pastries)

I will definitely be returning!! They are awesome
I loved everything about this location!! the staff are kind, the location was amazing, the rooms were perfect and peaceful, and the facilities were clean. I loved that the lounge area had a big window that had an awesome view and a lot of space for if people had to do study or to do work on computers. I was constantly drinking their tea which was also good. they even have a shared refrigerator to put your food so you can reheat later.
I wish the beds were just a little bit higher so would have more storage space for my big suitcase, I kinda overpacked so it was my fault but I had space for my other bags.

Fabulous, comfortable and sociable co-work hostel in the ideal Kyoto location
Fantastic, clean, sociable, modern and comfortable capsule hotel. The co-working space was easy to concentrate in, with a great view east of Kyoto to the mountains. It was safe, the happy hour free beers helped everyone socialise and the events were really enjoyable. Hot powerful showers and cute Tokyo bikes for rent - ideal!
My jacket got soaked in the rain one day and there's no space to dry things. The safe is great and strong, but only just fitted my 15" laptop - anyone with bigger valuables would have to carry them with them in the day.
