Disappointing

Beautiful Paje - a treat to visit but next time wed stay elsewhere.

The Nest was wonderful because of the location, Paje is an awesome place - vibey town where you can eat in local restaurants- stunning beach, very safe and laid back. Wed go back to Paje for sure but not The Nest. The local staff at the Nest were really lovely so this is no reflection on them. They were warm, friendly and tried to help when we shared our requests / complaints below. Nice pool, nice location right on the beach.

The issues with The Nest is exactly what other reviews have shared: we spent more than we usually would as a treat - however it just wasnt worth it. We paid for 4 in our room and not once - not on any of our 6 days there - and even after asking twice / three times a day - did we have enough towels. The room cleaning wasnt ever completed (not enough cups, loo roll, coffee / tea for 4 of us). The cost of everything was so much more than elsewhere - the food / drinks / organisation of taxi / tours / nye party - which just made it feel that the place was on the make all the time rather than easy-going like the rest of the country. Just didnt live up to expectations. The less than 9 star overall rating should be noted

Great place but pricey

Great location at Paje beach . Lovely for kite-surfing . Very good vegetarian beach front restaurant and bar . We had rooms 19/20 which are situated on high poles and above all other bungalows, so great views. Staff in the restaurant were nice and tried to connect with customers .

As a world traveller and have spent thousands of nights in hotels all around the globe , both professionally and privately, the star rating and price per night are simply not in sync . You can read in booking.com rating comments by visitors all have similar tone. Hotel should either raise to 5 star standards or lower price and rating. A 5 star resort needs to be a flawless experience for the customer . We had no towels in room , no security safe in room (although published) , one day bed room simply not made , ventilator broken , general poor condition of infrastructure ( although W.I.P to improve ) and a neighbor resort playing music til later after midnight . Optically the resort gave impression that it needed some repairs , paintwork and gardening.

Exceptional

The Hotel has amazing architecture. Great design. It is simply a fantastic place and the staff makes it even better. Fantastic vegetarian food. Big thank you to the chef. Great pizza guy. Wonderful barmans and waiters. Receptionist!!!! We had our Lucy ,who helped us with everything. The gardeners are doing such an incredible job here. We'll definitely come back.

Hotel need an upgrade

The pool is amazing and they have the nice ring to take pictures at.

1. The hotel is not child friendly since I had an infant who likes to walk around she got hurt from the stones. 2. The hotel only serves vegetarian meals and we are not vegetarians, 3. The TV in the rooms were not working and there was no phone in the room to communicate with the staff in case of room service 4. No mosquito nets, we got bitten by mosquitoes. 5. No proper dinner for breakfast its like a camp style. 6. The place needs a serious UPGRADE THEY SELL WHATS NOT THERE. 7. The staff have no clue about the hotel services. They need serious training

We didnt expect that kind of amazing performance about the hotel.But this vegetarian hotel has very delicious meals especially gnocchi with beetroot awesome!Staff especially Lucy and the other guys that dont remember names are so kind helpful and friendly.Thanks to Lucy and amazing staff they made our holiday wonderful with their hospitality!About rooms,nothing to say!So clean,so different designed and feeling at your home in nature.Thanks to Nest family,see you next time :)

The smile of the local staff

We have spent 3 nights in the nest boutique resort for around 700 in one of the 2 tree bungalow - are we using the same measurement ? According to booking we were to have a 100m2 room ( anywhere you go terrasse is to not be counted) - all together with the bathroom you are not exceeding 40m2 - rain - unfortunately we have experienced rain inside the bedroom, waking up with our feet in the water - curtains - impossible to imagine sleep in the dark as they are too small - terrasse. 2 tree bungalows - ours being having two poor chairs and a table with zero shade - other bungalow seemed to be a bit more lucky - nails not fulling pushed into the post of the swing ( hurting ourselves as we passed next to it to sit on sunbeds) - monkey is to be part of the place but in a cage - light issue - its a need to have your phone light to walk around if you dont want to fall Last .. its the first time ever I have seen owners not responding or saying hello to their clients - not a smile - not a welcome we are truly sorry for bothering you! You are miles away from the concept you have tried to put in place. For all these reasons I do not recommend this place
