Fantastic Home from Home

What a lovely home from home. We felt safe and secure straight away. Everything you could need. It's really cosy and warm. Jo was really helpful and answered any question straight away. Would definitely stay here again. Plus it is so close to everything which really helped as we were travelling with am older person

The twin beds were in the front when the photos showed the back but this wasn't really a problem. Although the two single beds, were a really good size do need new mattress. Everything else is wonderful. Book it

Now we know what we know we would love to come again. Location, parking & facilities all good or ex

The kitchen, bedrooms, shower room & bathroom were excellent, exceeded our expectations. Molten Brown shower gels & shampoos supplied - such luxury. We parked almost outside the front door & it could hardly be closer to the City & York Minster

The sitting room wasn't very cosy, despite the owners turning up the CH for us. In hindsight we should have bought logs & attempted to light fire.. But the decorations & furnishings, whilst modern & comfortable, were a bit bleak for a freezing Nov/Dec. Tricky to open the key safe in the dark on initial arrival

Exceptional

Cosy, beautiful home away from home.

Excellent location. We walked to all major attractions with a small child from the cottage and didnt need the car once. The Old Carriage House is a beautiful cottage, thoughtfully extended, cosy, homely and comfortable with everything you could possibly need.

Very good

I would stay here again if I was going to York.

The location is great, and we found parking easy to use. This property is comfy, and warm, the dining table was large, the kitchen was quiet well equipped for a rental, and the oven and fridge were lovely and clean. The beds are a good size and the house is nicely decorated. All the towels, sheets etc. were in a very good state, and the wardrobes & drawers were very clean.

The shower was like a wet-room with screen, in the same room as the ground floor loo, so the floor was wet for a couple of hours after everyone had showered rendering the toilet unusable unless you don't mind soggy feet (TBF there is another upstairs). A lot of the crockery etc. had been put away slightly dirty, presumably by the previous renters, but should really have been checked.
