Best doggy holiday

Everything was great the best dog friendly hotel Ive stayed at, they give you a doggy welcome gift with treats water bowel and mat, poo bags, dont really need to bring anything apart from a lead. And the pub is probably the best in Dartmouth

No lift and sensitive fire alarms.

Warm and welcoming. Lovely way to spend New Years Eve and the start of 2024.

Beautiful building with original features. Warm and cosy with a great view of the harbour. Staff very friendly.

Excellent- exceeded our expectations.

We loved the position, the friendliness of the staff and the comfort and facilities in our room.

There was some confusion over whether the restaurant would be open so ended up eating later than we had hoped.

Passable

I had to change rooms. My first room was at the rear of the hotel. During the night i was woken by a high pitch loud whine. Wjich kept me awake. My second room was lovely and quiet and to a very good standard.

Exceptional - staff, room quality, cleanliness and decor.

Parking 'in season' must be a nightmare but that applies to Dartmouth in general and isn't aimed at the Royal Castle

Management have clearly taken their eye of the importance of service and cleanliness.

Checking in was great loads of information and bar staff also very good

Bathroom was dirty, shower wasnt clean, toilet brush was not sanitary. Breakfast in the morning despite being quiet took 20mins to order and 50mins for service. There was only one young girl who was seating guests, taking order's, serving tables, clearing and cleaning. Eggs royal were served cold with eggs hard and clearly had been stood around for some time. Occasionally a second person helped clear some tables
