    In the centre of Lyme Regis, just 150 metres from the beach, the Royal Lion Hotel has a pool, sauna and games room. Some rooms have sea views and balconies. The indoor pool is next to the spa bath and sauna. The games room has full-size snooker, pool and table tennis tables. The Royal Lion also has 2 guest lounges and offers free Wi-Fi. Parking is complimentary. The Oak Room restaurant serves a full cooked breakfast. Evening meals feature local, seasonal produce and children’s menus are available. The bar has original fireplaces and panelled walls and the courtyard cafe provides outdoor dining. They serve real ales, light meals and home-made cakes. Lyme Regis Harbour and the Philpot Museum are both within 10 minutes’ walk. Lyme Regis seafront is part of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site.

    Lovely hotel, perfect location with super friendly staff
    All of us loved our stay at the Royal Lion Hotel. All of the staff were so friendly and made us feel at home from the first minute we arrived until our departure. The location was amazing too, and there was a nice big car park. The added bonus was a terrific games room with a full-size snooker table!
    Nothing really. I suppose if I was picky then the mattresses could be a little bit newer and firmer - at least the one I slept on.

    Great location, comfortable room and helpful staff.
    Everything was great except the service at breakfast was slow because it was just one person serving. The cooked breakfast was excellent for those having it but for those not, like me, the choice of fruit and bakery goods was rather less than I would have expected.

    Great central location in a beautiful and charming seaside resort.
    We had a superb vegan breakfast in a fascinating dining room and the whole hotel has a wonderful character and old world charm. All the staff we encountered were lovely and very helpful.
    The historic aspect of the building with its sloping floors, leads to some interesting features e.g. a dressing table stool that can't be used at the dressing tables because it's up on a level plinth (due to the extreme slope) and to use the stool meant it coming off the plinth!

    A Great stay over
    Clean comfortable room. Good evening meal, breakfast was great. Exactly what we hoped for.
    Being called 'guys' by the breakfast team. I'm obviously not a guy! Not an infrequent use of language by today's youth. Still irritates me. A minor thing in the whole stay.

    Lovely traditional hotel in an excellent location
    The staff in the bar and restaurant made our stay. They were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was decorated really nicely for Christmas. We wanted a traditional hotel with the English Christmas feel and we got that. It was a great place to meet up with our friends.
    They did forget to tell us the road was closed and that there was a diversion in place - but 'heyho' (or 'Hohohoho' as it's Christmas and they were busy)

    Excellent position on the Main Street. Very clean throughout. Lovely warm swimming pool to enjoy. Very tasty breakfast and evening meal. Friendly, helpful staff.

    If I had to pick something it would be you are charged for the car park , never used to be . Saying that its pretty handy as parking in lyme can be a challenge
