Where do I startme and my family like to do random nights away however this was definitely an experience we wont forget..we stayed at the beginning of December and was looking for warmth after trekking round Longleats festive lights, however we did not get that as there was no heating working at the well inn which we was not told about prior, the one member of staff on site said that they had to reset the boiler every hour if they remember and I can confirm they did not remember to do so, myself, husband, and my two boys age 6&9 one being autistic all tried to sleep in the smallest double bed you can imagine.
My husband decided he fancied a beer from the bar at 9:15 and ended up interrupting them in the middle of closing for the evening, however they did allow him to order on the condition he take it back to the room, but what my partner wanted meant that the one member of staff would have to change the barrel which he wasnt to happy about I have to change the barrel unless you could choose something different my partner felt awkward so he did change, once he paid and left they closed the doors for the night.
The day before we arrived we was notified that there would be no food to order due to staff sickness however later on we found out that it was due to having no members of staff at all, this of course then brings me on to breakfast, at no point was we informed that it would be a continental breakfast (especially when on their website it shows a fully cooked one) when we say continental we mean 3 different types of bread, two different cereals, a few apples and a few oranges, my children looked at it and even asked me what is there they could eat??? We as a family of five ended up booking online for breakfast at a premier inn which of course cost us extra money we did not really have after paying 150 for one night, then 50+ for dinner somewhere else for breakfast.
