Shameful. Overwhelming stench of mould due to poor standards.
Its not very often that I would condemn a hotel room but sadly this is that moment. Room 6 has an overwhelming smell of mould owing to poor standards. I went to the front desk to ask for another room, explaining that its not very often that I would make such a strong request, sadly to be met with the we are fully booked reply. This room is disgusting. I have stayed in hotels all over the world in places way beyond the comforts of Stamford and this is borderline uninhabitable owing to the odour of mould throughout the room. I can excuse the thin walls and neighbours snoring but I will never excuse poor cleanliness which ultimately impacts my health. Shameful.

    Lovely stay!
Very comfortable room, hotel is in a great location on the edge of town and close to Burghley House. Borrowed 1 of their nice bikes for a day - excellent.
The room I had is in the loft space - so has a very small window, low ceilings and no shower. It was also up a very tight spiral stair case. Other rooms appear larger and more traditional. Was a little cold on occasion. TV was hard to get working initially.

Fab staff lovely breakfast on surface beautiful room lacking on fundamentals
Big room comfortable, gorgeous room, nice breakfast excellent staff, coffee/tea selection great, radio station was a lovely touch
Incredibly hot in the room, the voile at windows dirty and tatty, window frame black, towel looked like it had been eaten by mice, had to unplug the fridge to dry hair as mirror was over coffee facilities, dressing area with wardrobe would be an excellent area for hair but no mirror and I couldnt see a socket.
