    Great weekend stay for wedding, almost compromised by interaction with challenging landlord.
    Great location for family wedding Large enough to host family Clean and tidy property Communal space
    Crumpled bed linen - clearly not ironed Additional charges on arrival for persons 6/7 despite thinking we had booked whole property. Over the top charges for resident/visitor parking permit @ 17.50 per vehicle per day (which I actually dont think you are legally allowed to charge for) Parking restrictions not clarified so permit not really needed for arrival day or for the Sunday as not required. I felt it was an additional money making scheme.

    The property has CCTV outside and also INSIDE the communal areas which are monitored by the landlord - this is incredibly intrustive and I would not have booked had I known. We had an extra person unexpectedly stay over on the second night and the landlord shared images that he had taken from the CCTV camera with booking.com and refused to return the 300 cash damage deposit because of this. Please be aware that because this property is categorised as 'private host' there is nothing that booking.com can do to help you get your deposit back if the landlord decides he doesn't want to return it. I did not consent for my data to be shared with booking.com, so would be interested to hear the landlord (and booking.com's) data retention policy under the GDPR. I was also unaware that there was CCTV inside the house and that I was being recorded. The landlord failed to turn up at the agreed time for check-out. I waited nearly an hour, then had to leave. He told me to leave the keys and send him my bank details - and that he would return the 300 deposit by bank transfer. This was a lie and did not happen. I feel uncomfortable that he has my bank details. I also asked the landlord to provide me with a receipt for the 300 cash damage deposit - he would not do this and promised to to send me an electronic copy instead. This did not happen. I did not like handing over such a large amount of cash without a receipt - and with good reason it turned out. The landlord is paranoid that guests are going to have a party. He particularly dislikes 'local' guests, so be very careful if you live in or around London and are thinking about renting this property.

    The house was lovely and spacious with a good layout and 2 bathrooms which was handy for a mixed couples group.
    Nothing- ideal for what we needed.
