Really Comfy bed Marble bath lovely, very indulgent Bedding was better quality than it looked at first and was really comfy Complimentary soft drinks were great and were also replenished Expected traffic noise to be a problem, but it wasn't Room was lovely and warm once we asked for help with the heating, which was very forthcoming and the under floor heating was lovely

Breakfast was mixed quality, great free range eggs and fresh fruit was lovely and nice quality yoghurt, but sausage and bacon not great taste... Biggest downside to breakfast was it was so limited due to having to pick a time slot and latest time available was 9.40. Far too early for a luxury stay, which was anticipated from the price, wanted a nice lie in and leisurely Breakfast, the time slot and lack of lie in made it a basic experience, which didn't reflect the cost of the stay. Didn't like having to preorder Breakfast, again just made it a basic b n b experience Photos of the room make it look bigger than it was and I really expected to see authentic antique furniture, not cheap reproduction oriental furniture, so that was disappointing. There were complimentary toiletries, however with the marble bath I expected to have some lovely bubble bath/ bath salts and body cream We appreciate we were staying in York, and expected to pay premium price, and having looked at the other options, i picked tower house as it really looked like a special, unique experience and worthy of 200+ price per night, but overall reception, hallway, breakfast area and bedroom were mismatched and didn't reflect premium and luxury, so didn't feel good value.

Excellent place

Everything so clean great choice for breakfast and staff so friendly. Its by York hospital and about a 8 to 10 minutes walk into the town centre which we don't mind as it walks the great breakfast off you and when one to many sobers you up. Weve booked already for next year

Best guest house

The rooms were unique and detailed and provided all requirements at an exceptional level. The guest house was the cleanest we've ever stayed in, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and accommodated all requirements. The breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked and presented.

Had a lovely stay at the Tower Guest House - an excellent place to stay when visiting York. The staff at the Tower Guest House do everything to make your stay 5 stars. A lovely themed room with attention to detail. Excellent breakfast. Would highly recommend.
