    Very friendly and helpful reception staff, extremely comfy beds, nice pool area, beautiful roof top terrace, good selection for breakfast, very clean and large rooms.
    Loud noise from aircon in the room even if the aircon is turned off, the restaurant staff look tired and unhappy (perhaps they are), coffee served for breakfast is tastless, during dinner time all the corridors of the hotel up to the top floor smell like fish, during breakfast time due to the lack of air circulation all the breakfast area smells like burnt toast, wi-fi was non-existent.

    The friendliness of the staff was brilliant. Comfortable room, all the facilities we wanted, great gym and indoor pool. Outdoor pool and surrounding clean and great for catching the sun. Sea view too. Food largely buffet style but very good. Certainly stay here again.

    No tea and coffee in the room - provided by basic hotels so expected this as standard.

    Lovely warm welcome after our flight was cancelled and we had to find somewhere to stay for 2 nights.
    The drains smelt in the room the first night but I think that might have been due to the storm that had cancelled our flight.

    We did not get the room we booked. The room we received was very dark and unpleasent. No seperate bathroom, shower and toilet were practicly in our room with only a small in between.

    Staff was very nice
    Doesnt seemed like it belongs to savoy signature group. Its very dated and it needs a refurbishment badly. Toilet/bathroom had a weird strong smell of something rotten in the pipes. Mould on shower head, mould on soap dispenser which we havent used as we werent sure how old is the soap inside. This seemed like budget hotel not savoy and we just got back from Saccharum savoy in caletha with was amazing so in comparison unfortunately tui gardens left sour taste. On the positive note, staff was amazing, very polite and attentive

    We had a nice room, very spacious with a great view. The front desk staff were helpful and prompt. The pool was clean and relaxing, and the rooftop bar was excellent with gorgeous views of Funchal.
    The price seemed steep for what you got. The air conditioning wasn't working well the first two days and then completely stopped working after that. It was only after asking the front desk for a standing fan (which they didn't have), that we learned the AC was out for the whole building. We didn't receive any consolation for this and it was very uncomfortable at night in a still, hot room. Our other main complaint was the food. While there was a lot of it and the breakfast buffet was included in the room price, the food quality was poor. We unfortunately didn't like the taste of much of it.
