This was a last minute booking as my previous one cancelled due to illness. Booking was quick and information given prior to my arrival was great. The proerty was only 4 miles from the M4, easy to get to on very good roads and easy to find.
David, the owner, was always such a happy, cheerful man, always helpful with local information, especially on the best places to park.
The property itself was as described, quiet, warm, homely, comfortable, well equipped, covid safe and everything seemed to be just in the right place. Often when I stay somewhere one or two things I would use are missing- that didn't happen here, it had everything I wanted. It's situated on the edge of Gowerton where everything was a short drive or walk away including a large Co-Op open daily till 11.00p.m. yet the farm felt like it was out in the country. It is ideal for singles, couples, those with small families, with or without a car.
I used the property as a base to explore the area- all the Gower coast, the National Botanical Garden of Wales and the waterfall areas of the Brecon Beacons which were approx 30mins or less drive away. Cardiff was about an hour drive though I could also have gone by train from the local station if I wished.
A week just wasn't long enough, I saw a lot but there was so much more to see. The places I did visit, I would definitely visit again.
All in all, I had an excellent stay here and it was one of my most favourite places I've ever stayed in. I'm defifinately thinking of returning again.
