Stunning setting and lovely staff let down by easily fixable flaws

The staff, particularly the front desk staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and day trips were arranged, and then re-arranged for us with no fuss. We ate in the restaurant 3 times and the food was very good

The air conditioning in our suite was extremely noisy and uncontrollable- it was either freezing cold or not on! The lighting, particularly in the sitting room was poor- there was no light at all over the sofa, rendering it useless after 5pm. Although the restaurant food was good, the service was very slow, over an hour wait was the norm, and dishes did not come out together. On one occasion the main course for one of my party did not arrive until the other 2 diners had just about finished their meal.

Very good hotel, big room , comfy bed, near the River Kwai Bridge but quiet enough. I like the view at breakfast restaurant, so relax. Staff is friendly, and they are prompt to serve

We loved the location, just 5m walk to the bridge and right on the river, which was a lovely spot to eat breakfast and sit by the pool with a view. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the room and hotel were very clean.

If I had to pick fault, the room was a little small but it wasn't an issue.
