Miguel was an amazing host and has thought of everything in this property, our stay was perfect in every way.

extremely spacious property, x3 bathrooms and a toilet upstairs, very well equipped kitchen with a dining area perfect for family meals. excellent swimming pool and amazing barbecue and seating area. extremely clean throughout. was amazing layout with patio doors from bedrooms out to pool area. upstairs had x2 large seating areas on a large terrace. The complementary goods in the kitchen and bathrooms were just lovely. in a quiet area with easy access to excellent resteraunts.

The only one negative was having to leave besides leaving to come home there is not one thing we did not like.

Great family villa with fabulous outdoor spaces and in a great location.

We loved the location and outside spaces. The children loved the Pool, table tennis and pool table. The villa is great for local coastal walks as well as lots of running & cycling routes. It has six beaches all within walk/run distance

Some of the interiors could do with a refresh/update however this did not spoil our fun.

Expectations not met

The outside space was excellent at this property, including 6 good sunbeds and a decent enough pool table. The WiFi worked well overall. If you are fit, the property is within walking distance of a number of lovely beaches.

We were disappointed with our overall experience at Villa Coelho in September 2022. As mentioned in previous reviews on Booking.com, the overall feel of the property is dated and tired. Although clean overall, we did not have the feeling of being in a quality villa. Towels were rather old and 'grey'. The bases of all beds were very scruffy and need urgent replacement as do the leather head boards which are badly flaking away. Two of the downstairs bedrooms were very musty and some toilets had a drainy smell. We found the pool to be cold (approx 23 degrees - with 28 degrees generally regarded as warm). Also note that there is no aircon unit in the upstairs living accommodation (the house is 'upside down') which means that it can get very hot up there. There was some confusion over a change of towels/ cleaning and the owner's responses to my messages on this made me feel that somehow this was my fault, which was very disappointing. Responses in general were rather 'routine' as are most responses to customer feedback on this villa you will note, regardless of the nature of the feedback. Hopefully this feedback will prompt a more useful response and some action on some of these issues which could make this a higher quality stay. We could not recommend this villa to friends.

Really enjoyable, lovely area, great restaurants (when you found them!)

Breakfast non applicable as we provided our own Location was ok but quite remote to get to supermarket/restaurants and beaches especially if you, like us, didn't have transport. Once we got our bearings we did enjoy the walks (not the one to the supermarket ) but if you were disabled in any way it would have been a problem.

There was nothing we really didn't like.The villa was well laid out and clean but a tad dated, it is in need of refurbishment, especially the bedrooms. Miguel, the owner, could not have been a nicer guy, I had requested some additional items including champagne and a birthday cake before we arrived at the villa as a surprise for my husband whose birthday we were out there celebrating and these were waiting for us in the fridge. The cake was amazing. We did have problems with the air conditioning and 2 of the bathroom showers, we emailed Miguel about these and the showers and 2 of the air con units were fixed within a couple of hours, the 3rd unit was found to be 'kaput" as the engineer put it and a brand new one was installed the following day.The only other thing we found missing was an information book showing exactly where local amenities, shops, restaurants, beaches were, this would have been very useful.
