    welcoming, calm, and cozy
    The staff were wonderful, they were welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Rooms were very nice and the location was perfect.
    Our room only had one window in the room, but that is to be expected with the location of the hotel.

    A picturesque, comfortable stay high above Amalfi town with clean, spacious rooms and great food.
    First and foremost, the staff were so nice and friendly. The location was a little bit of a walk up the hill from the port but we knew this going in and wasn't an issue. To be honest, being able to walk up through the town was so nice being able to see so much of the scenery. The room and building were so beautiful and kept up considering how old it was. The morning breakfast was perfect each day, and the view from the veranda as we ate was spectacular. I couldn't have imagined a better location and accommodations.
    The spa tub in the room was excessive and I'd be surprised if anyone used it because why would you come to Amalfi for that! But that didn't detract from anything for us. Be aware that there are steps to take to the room, not including up to the hotel. To get to the hotel there is a fine elevator to remedy that, but be aware of steps to the room. This was not an issue for us but it might be for some people. I would say, though, for those visitors to know that any trip to the Amalfi Coast will involve many steep steps no matter the town or location.

    The staff was wonderful!! They were so pleasant and accommodating and made the best cappuccino! We loved them.

    The hotel staff are very friendly and always ready ti support, very close to Amalfi main center, clean and well equiped. Just be aware that it will require you to climb few srairs with the begs until you get to the elevator. Other than this it is a perfect place.

    Villa Lara sets itself apart with its great hospitality and location!
    Cannot speak highly enough about the staff! Every person we interacted with was so warm, kind and helpful. They made us feel so welcome and we genuinely looked forward to chatting with them every morning and evening. The location is absolutely perfect. Two blocks removed from the main alley so it was quiet, but close enough to hustle and catch a ferry on a whim when we needed to!

    The staff was very kind and went above and beyond our expectations, they upgraded our room as well and had great advice for things to do in the area! Pro tip: Use the elevator to go up, it takes a while to arrive but it's much easier than the stairs especially if you have a lot of luggage!
    The air conditioning was not great, but that can easily be due to the heat wave this year and can look past it

    Exceptional hospitality in a beautiful setting
    It had the perfect combination of old-world charm and modern convenience. The facility is beautiful, with a lovely view over the town center to the sea, a view we enjoyed from the terrace when we arrived and at breakfast the next morning. Our room was modern, spacious, and impeccably clean. Beds were comfortable. Nice big bathroom with a nice big shower. But best of all was the hotel staff, who were so welcoming and kinds, and helped us with arrangements for our travel from Praiano to the hotels front door, and again with our departure from the hotel to the ferry. They were absolutely wonderful, every one of them. (P.S. the hotel sits very high up on a hill, but there is an elevator that eliminates most of the need for climbing stairs except for a few short flights at the entrance and inside the hotel.)

    Perfect stay in Amalfi
    My family and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Villa Lara hotel! Every staff member we interacted with was beyond accommodating and kind, and the hotel was in the perfect location close to the heart of Amalfi, while still being a bit removed up the road. Though there are a bit of stairs to reach the hotel, there is a lift you can take instead. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with daily service. The morning breakfasts were delicious, and even set up earlier than expected so we were able to come down and enjoy the food before our early starts to a long day. The staff even made us whichever delicious coffees wed like each morning! The staff assisted with our baggage up and down the lift when needed, and were so helpful with local recommendations. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Amalfi to stay here, I know we will be back!
