We enjoyed everything that Villa Oliandra had to offer. The list is endless so please bear with me
The electric security gates were superb for our family. My nephew is non verbal autistic and he can be a flight risk. At the start of our holidays, we tend to spend countless hours ensuring the place is safe and secure. We only required 5 minutes and felt at ease straight away.
The photos honestly do not do the villa justice. Only once you are there, that you see the villa for its worth and size and beautiful scenery and so so peaceful!!
As a family, it worked so well for us. My brother and his family stayed downstairs where my mum and I enjoyed life upstairs in the villa in the two separate bedrooms and bathroom. It was amazing and meant we could all be super relaxed and not feeling like we were impinging on each other, especially the mornings. I especially enjoyed the morning as would be up early when it was so peaceful and try my best to take all of that scenery in.
It is like a home from home (seriously), we didnt need to take hairdryers. Everything is pretty much there for you. I ironed my entire suitcase upon arrival. The family laughed so much but I had the last laugh when I saw them getting that ironing board back out each day .
We met amazing neighbours albeit broken English and Portuguese but they made us feel at ease and met a beautiful dog called Rocky.
It felt longer than just two weeks of a stay. I enjoyed where the villa was situated not too far from Villamoura. We usually stay near Guia but was brilliant to stay closer to the marina. We hired two cars through booking.com, not that this is a definite must have but we enjoy breaking a day up by going to Algarve/Mar shopping centre. Absolutely driving on the right side of the road, feels more natural.
Tony (our host) was on call each and everyday, nothing was a bother for him and he took pleasure in responding to our many questions.
